Post-Surgery & Hospital Discharge Care · South Shore & Cape Cod
Coming home after surgery or a hospital stay can be overwhelming. Our caregivers provide the hands-on support needed for a safe, comfortable recovery — reducing the risk of falls, complications, and hospital readmission.

Recovery Support at Home
After a surgery, hospitalization, or injury, the first weeks at home are critical. Research shows that patients who receive proper support during this transition period have significantly lower rates of readmission, falls, and complications. But most families aren't equipped to provide the level of care needed — especially when mobility is limited and pain management is ongoing.
At Divine Living Home Care, our post-surgery caregivers step in immediately — often the same day as discharge. We help with everything from getting in and out of bed to preparing meals, managing medication schedules, and driving to follow-up appointments. Our goal is simple: help your loved one heal faster, more safely, and more comfortably.
Post-surgery care can be short-term (a few weeks after a hip replacement) or longer-term (ongoing support after a stroke or serious illness). We tailor the care plan to the specific procedure, the doctor's recommendations, and your family's schedule.
We coordinate with hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, and physicians across Southeastern Massachusetts to ensure a smooth transition home. Serving families in Hingham, Norwell, Brockton, Plymouth, Marshfield, Duxbury, and Cape Cod.
Surgery coming up? Call us before the procedure so we can have a caregiver ready the day your loved one comes home.
When to Call Us
Your loved one has a surgery scheduled and will need help at home during recovery — even if they're normally independent.
They've just been released from the hospital and need transitional support to recover safely and avoid readmission.
A fall, fracture, or joint replacement has left them unable to perform daily tasks without assistance.
You live far away, work full-time, or simply can't provide the level of care needed during the recovery period.
